Looking at breast reduction before and after photos is one of the best ways that you can prepare yourself for surgery before committing to a specific surgeon or clinic.
However, it is important to remember that pictures showing the client directly before and after surgery will not look as good as pictures taken after a period of recovery because breast reduction scars after 1 year will not be as prominent as they are immediately post-surgery.
At The New Birkdale Clinic, we include before and after pictures in your surgical package
Why we take breast reduction surgery pictures
First, and most obviously, being able see your results post-surgery and compare them to your breasts pre-surgery is very important. It is your body after all and your happiness after spending time in our clinic is incredibly important to us.
Secondly, by providing you with a set of pictures from inside our clinic, you will be able to immediately compare the before and after pictures and know that they are consistent with external factors such as lighting.
We recommend that you also take your own before and after pictures in your own home, with clothes and without clothes, so that you can get a full sense of your appearance following reduction surgery.
When you return home following your procedure and your recovery continues, you can then take more pictures and document your recovery journey. By doing this, you will be able to look back and spot small changes from photo to photo which you may not be able to do day by day if you were just looking in the mirror.

Before and after boob reduction images
If you require a breast reduction, then you may be suffering from pain, discomfort, and general annoyance at parts of your life.
Before surgery, it is likely that you will be experiencing back and neck pain. This comes from the weight that you are carrying on your front throwing off your posture.
When women have uncommonly large breasts, it can be hard to find clothes and bras that fit comfortably. If you are finding that this is the case for you, then you may want to consider reduction mammoplasty.
After surgery, the pain in your back and neck will ease as you will be carrying less weight on your front and therefore putting less strain on your spine.
By inspecting before & after pictures, you’ll be able to guide us on what sized breasts you would prefer post-surgery so you will then be able to shop for clothes and bras that you like in a size that fits you.
Large breast reduction photos
If your breasts were exceptionally large before surgery then the after pictures may look the most astonishing as opposed to someone only receiving a small reduction surgery.
For example, take these before and after pictures from one of our clients in the past.

Before surgery, this client thought her breasts were too big and therefore wanted reduction surgery. While she was receiving surgery, she had enough tissue removed to make her breasts look like how she wanted.
You will also be able to notice how her nipples now face forwards rather than facing downwards. During breast reduction surgery, the areola is moved and can even be made smaller if needed by removing the skin around the circumference.
Breast reduction results before and after
Breast reduction recovery time will vary between individuals but most patients will be able to return to their normal routine after four to six weeks.
During this time your breasts may be bruised and swollen. You may need to take time off work depending on your job and it is advised that you avoid lifting heavy objects until your breasts are fully healed.
One of the most desired results is an increase to confidence and the ability to be happy with what you see in the mirror. That is what we most look forward to seeing after treating our clients.
